    ATI Radeon HD 4870: 512 MB or 1 GB of memory?

    For some time, we find several references graphic card ATI Radeon HD 4870 equipped with 1 GB of video memory instead of the usual 512 MB. And if the seller of supermarket brag cheerfully repeating that "the more there are, the better ... always!",What you guys think is 1 GB better then 512MB .

    increase the equipment in memory on graphics cards is inevitable, but on the one hand it is true almost all the games taking advantage of 1GB are simply not yet marketed, on the other hand we must understand that future games, they ask 1GB, require above all a greater capacity calculation that the current GPU ...

    In any case, there are extremes to avoid, the GeForce 8500 with 1GB among other examples. For my part, if I had this thought earlier, I would not have acquired a 7600GS with 512MB.
