where to connect?

Hi,
Since i am a noob & it may sound silly or something
I want to know if i purchase a graphic card where i should connect the monitor screen with? i need to plug the screen into the graphics card or could i just plug the screen into the vga port on the motherboard?

See the simple answer to your question is you need to find out more information on Graphics cards first!
If you want to connect a graphics card to work you need to connect it with your screen!
