Programming in Visual Studio 2005 for Microsoft Project

Is it possible to write a program in Visual Studio 2005 using Microsoft Project. I think there must be some way available. I tried to search on web but there was nothing much found. I was on the thread where some users were discussing the same topic and one among them said that it is possible. But for that I will need some integrated editor in Microsoft Project. With a third party software it might not be possible. Is there anyone who is kind of core Project user can tell more about the same.

It is possible in VB and also you can use C# for that. But you will need to learn about the same. You will first understand linking the code with project and then writing it proper which will work and not point out any error. You can being with a Macro. It can be a kind of good base for your work. There one more thing that you can try. You can try to use Microsoft Office 12.0 Object Library on the same and see whether it works or not. Microsoft offers a set of tutorial that are enough beneficial to guide you on the same.

    Hello,

A good way to start is to record adding tasks using the Macro Recorder in MS Project. Consider browsing the Microsoft Forum for Programming in Project

You may also post questions there.

I'm afraid I don't know which check boxes you are referring to, so I can't be of much help.

Generally as long as an option is not read-only you should b able to set the option. Again, I suggest posting your detailed questions to the Microsoft forum for Programming in Project.
