Direct Link from MS Project to MS Access

I am creating a database in MS Access, currently i am exporting source of the information from Microsoft Project into Excel and i am importing them to Access. I am here to know if there is a way by which i can Access tables directly to Project table for pulling the information so that the updates gets installed automatically and i don't have to export/import them manually.

RE: Direct Link from MS Project to MS Access

In that case you can save the Project File as a Microsoft Access Database File using the save as option. Later you can link the resultant file to some other Access Database. You can also go to Microsoft Project and select File/Open specify Access Database as a file type. When you will access the Access Database which was sourced in Project you wont have any issue in opening the file into MS Project. There won't be any issue in linking the changes that you will make in your Access Database and the Access Database from MS Project.

You have the below 2 option for creating direct Link from MS Project to MS Access:
    1. Using old version of Microsoft Project (2003 or older) and save the project to an Access database.
    2. Use Microsoft Access for Creating a project file in the Access database

    Hope that helps.
