    Tasks Not recognizing predecessors

I have a Project where I have had the software schedule all dates for me. I created tasks with durations and predecessors only. For some reason, I have some early tasks that are starting on the same day despite the fact that one is a predecessor to another -- the 2nd task should start when the first one ends. These are tasks that are 100% completed. Is my only option now to specify a start date?

The type of relationship will determine when the task can be scheduled. In Microsoft Project, the Task will always honor their constraint dates setting overrides the task relationship links. To set this option, follow these steps:
    1. On the File tab, click Options.
    2. Click the Scheduling tab.
    3. Click to select the Tasks will always honor their contraints dates check box.
    4. Click OK.

If the tasks are 100% complete, they have an Actual Start date. Once an Actual Start date is specified, predecessors have no effect.

Why are you concerned about moving tasks which are complete?

    I hope this helps.
