Import / Export across project plans

I am trying to build a project plan that needs to be combined with an existing project plan and these both plan are in MS project. I was thinking that if there is a way to import one plan into the other? So can anyone tell me how to achieve this?

You can try to create a master file and then open both files. After that click on Window and then New Window and then select both the files and then press ok. You will then get a new 3rd file that will contain both the subproject files. You can also try to use custom grouping incase you want to see it by WBS.

Follow the below steps:

1. First of all try to copy all of the tasks from the source file and paste it into the target file.
2. After that try to do the same, but for Resources.
3. Now with both files open and the target file active, Use Tools, Organizer to fetch the calendar from the source file.
