Project Resource Plan

Hey guys, I’m in need of some urgent help from you all regarding Resource Plans in Project 2007. I created a project plan after working for hours on the same but now when I click on View Assignments or View Availability, it says “I have no assignments and that I still have 40 hours available.” I don’t know why is it not working even after trying the same with two different contacts and 2 different projects. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Sulolab, just try out the following steps. Hope you will get helped:

• Start with removing the resources from the enterprise project, as the resources are not necessary.
• Open the Resource Plan for editing.
• Build your team in the Resource Plan to include the two resources whose time you want to reserve.
• Expand the View Options pane at the top of the data grid.
• Set the Date Range and Column Interval values as needed.
• Set the Calculate Resource Utilization From value to Resource Plan.
• Set the Work Units value to your desired booking method.
• Click the Apply button.
• In the data grid, enter the numbers for each resource for each time period.
• Click the Save and Publish button.

Do I need some permissions to be able to set the inerval values? Because, I don't see a View Options pane. I have added resources to the plan and now want to set the column interval values. How do I do that? I am able to set the date range, but not able to figure out how to set the interval values. Please help!
