Vista 64-bit Media Center doesn't recognize FIOS TV STB remote

I recently bought a HP media center PC running with Vista 64bit. It is connected with Verizon FIOS TV Motorola QIP 2500-2 STB using s-video and RCA audio cables IR receiver/blaster. Now when I try to configure TV in media Center , it just wont recognizes Verizon FIOS TV remote control. However IR receiver is able to launch apps but during the setup when I’m asked to press buttons from Verizon remote to the IR receiver, it stops working. Infact it just freezes in "IR Learning" mode.

Does someone has any idea about these stuffs? Please provide some help. Many thanks.

Yeah, there are some remotes which cannot be recognized in Media Center. If you have all your hardware setup properly than I hope that any newly released IR updates can help you out. By the way are you located holding the Verizon remote facing the MCE Transceiver window within 2-3 inches?
