Need to block permission to change desktop background

One of my friends is a School teacher. He has some computers in school lab running with Windows XP. Students keep changing wallpapers on pc’s desktops. SO he want to restrict all students or prevent changing the wallpaper on all these computers. Is it possible? If yes, please let me know how. Thanks for helps in advance.

Yes, you can restrict anyone to change wallpapers on XP desktops with the following steps:

• Click Start > Run > type GPEDIT.MSC and press Enter.
• Expand to User Configuration - Administrative Templates – Control Panel - Display.
• On the right-side pane double-click the entry "Prevent Changing Wallpaper"
• Set the value "Enable" (If you enable this setting, the Desktop tab still appears, but all options on the tab are disabled.)
• Click OK/Apply.

That’s it. Nobody will be able to change the wallpaper any more. Do this on all computers of the lab.
