Tool to edit .ts files?

I have a Windows XP desktop at my home with Windows Media Center, Media Player 11, and Movie maker as well. I have a video file recorded from my Video Camera I want to cut out a fragment from its .ts file. I have no idea how can I do this or which software to use.

So I want to know is there anything built-in in Windows XP for the same? Can we do it in Movie maker or any third party software will also do. Please provide some suggestions.

I would like to know which Video recorder to you have because I have never seen any recorder recording videos in .ts extension. TS is actually transport stream. Anyways, I’ll suggest you to better first download any video converted first such as TSconverter or HDTVtoMPEG2 and convert the .TS file into MPEG2 file and then you can edit it easily with Movie maker.
