    Invalid Drive G:\

I have a Windows XP computer which is working fine since year. But whenever I’m trying to install Microsoft ActiveSync or iTunes, windows installer gives me an error message stating “Invalid Drive G:\” No matter how many times I restart and try the installation, I get this error every time with these two only software, rest other softwares install easily.

    Any help will be appreciated.

What is the G drive on your PC? Is it CD/DCVD drive or any partition? Also is it visible in Device Manager or during the boot process? Is it is visible in device manager then simply right click the drive, uninstall and restart the computer. If there would any drive problem your system will reinstall the same automatically.

    RE: Invalid Drive G:\

Thanks for your reply Fajardo but there is no G drive on my system, neither it is visible in Device Manager or during boot up. What now?

I think it would be available in Disk Management. Start by right clicking My Computer, select Manage, Disk management. See if it is visible here. If yes, rename it to D: or E: (as available). If the drive isn't named G:, try changing it to that and see what happens.
