Media Player won't recognize blank cd's, can't burn cd's

Facing some strange problem with my Xp desktop computer. Have some music to burn in my Library, but whenever I try burning a CD from Windows Media Player it says me to insert blank CDs though it is already in there. Surprisingly my Vista recognizes the CD, even WMP itself recognizes but wont burn it at all.

Hello Jocosa, I had this problem earlier with my system, fortunately managed to fix it myself. In my case I was having Roxio drag-to-disc installed on my system that was actually interring with WMP process. I simply uninstalled the same and problem got solved. If you have something Installed like that, just uninstall or atleast exit it from task manager and try burning.
