    Error message COOD11B1

I’m using Windows XP system with Windows Media Player 10. Earlier I was not able to play any video in mpeg format and rest of video files were playing fine. But since last week, things have gone worse, now I cannot play any video file. No matter what the extension is, it just says “Error message COOD11B1”

Any idea what is wrong with my computer?

I think your system is missing the required decoders or codecs. So first of all download “DECCHECKSetup.EXE” from Microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=9817 and run the same. It will help you to determine if an MPEG-2 video decoder (also called a DVD decoder) is installed on your Windows XP computer and whether or not the decoder is compatible with Windows Media Player 10 and Windows XP Media Center Edition.
