Hi, I’m using Acer TravelMate 8200 running with Windows XP. This laptop was working great so far but don’t know what suddenly went wrong. Yesterday I received an error message about Data Execution Prevention that even closed Dr Watson and since then nothing seems to be working fine.

Not always but few times when I start the laptop I get this DEP error for explorer.exe. My zone alarm is not working, even not able to run Windows Updates. I’ve no idea how can fix this. Can anyone help me please?

RE: Data Execution Prevention wanting to close explorer.exe help

Additional Info. I finished scanning the entire laptop but dint found anything suspicious. One more thing I would like to add is couple of days ago I got Windows Genuine Advantage Update but let me tell you that my software is 100% genuine. Can that update be the source of this problem?
