Windows Media Player Network Sharing missing from services

Earlier I had setup my D-Link Media Center successfully which was working great but as it was without security protection I found few people around me hogging my media and internet connection. Hence I thought to secure it using WEP protection. Now since I protected it, D-LINK Media Center is not working at all. Even I’m not able to use it anymore. Yes, ofcourse I enter proper network ID and password but I cannot find any shared media.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Kaysel, just go through these steps to fix it:

    1. Start menu
    2. Control Panel
    3. Administrative Tools
    4. Services
    5. Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service - Start this service
    6. End if starts
    7. if Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service not starting - Universal Plug and Play Device Host - Start
    8. If Universal Plug and Play Device Host not starting – SSDP Discovery Service -Start
