can't stretch 4:3 aspect ratio video on windows media player?

I have widescreen monitor and i am not able to stretch video to 4:3 in order to fill the whole screen using windows media player. I don't mind using other players and attaining the 4:3 aspect ratio but i cant do that while streaming full screen video on internet. It seems to be a common issue but i am not able to find out a fix for the same. Help regrading this will be appreciated.

You can try following below steps for changing aspect ratio of video in windows media player.
    • Insert your DVD, launch Windows Media Player and play your video.
    • After that Right-click on "Now Playing" tab > Select Tools > Click on "Options" for launching the options dialog box > click on "Devices" tab and click on "Displays" in the "Devices" box.
    • Now click on "Properties." and you should see pixel aspect ratio scrollbar under "Pixel aspect ratio." You can simply drag scrollbar left or right and set the desired ratio and save the changes you might have made.
