I am getting C00D11B1 error on Windows Media Player 11. It always appear when I try to play a video file in wma format. While when I play mp3 files it works the best. I cannot run any wma files on the media player. All videos are in a cd.

This can be due to damaged or improper codecs which do not allow you to play those file format. There are two ways to find proper codec. First you can try downloading the same through Windows Update and second you can try finding the same from the web. There are number of different video codecs provided for Windows Media Player. Once it is full updated you would be able to play files.
Try to rip those media files and then play them. That would work properly. Ripping allows you to move all your videos files in the system and then media player can play it. Another way of making those file work is by converting them to a working format. There are number of different converters available. Convert them to a common video format like avi and then see whether it works or not.
