VLC Plugin for Mac OS X 64bit

I am looking for VLC Plugin for Mac OS X in 64bit. I don’t mind what version it may be, whether latest or old, but it should support the 64 bit operating system. If the current one that I have installed is not compatible, then what is causing it not to work? I just need this new plug-in for my web browser.

I am also looking for a same plugin tool but I couldn’t find it anywhere, not even the solution.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (PPC G5) and I installed VLC 1.0.5 but it is not working for me.

As per the news that I have heard, the current plugin isn't 64bit compatible. There is a good reason behind the issue and, it is still using 32-bit API-only Carbon API. I hope that this year we can see some improvements but I am not sure about it because no news from the VLC has yet been announced in the market.
