XBOX 360 sees my media center but will not connect

The hardware:
xbox 360 connected via ethernet cable

Laptop with vista home premium connected via wireless N

The laptop saw the extender and I was able to complete the setup on both ends. The xbox says the media center is setup correctly and passes some tests.

When I go to the media center in xbox it just hangs on the connection screen forever and never actually connects.

Any ideas on how to get past this?

You will need the Windows Media Connect Software from Microsoft for one of the three following Operating Systems:

• Windows XP Home SP2 and XP Pro SP2
• Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2
• Windows XP Tablet PC Edition SP2
