Missing codec to play video files stored on network on Windows Media Player 11

I have some indeo clips on the network drive. I cannot play them in Windows Media Player. I need some help on the same. I had found some solution on web which discussed about installing the related to codec. It did not really worked. How can I plays those Indeo 5 clips on Windows Media Player. Thanks.

Yes you are right about that. You can find the codec on web and install it. After that only Media Player will be able to play those files. If you can find a player which support this file format then also it is fine. I am sure there are many third party video players which plays with format.

The best way to deal with this issue is to convert the same to avi codec. After converting it will be possible to play this on all types of video player. The codec belongs to mac systems I think and you must ensure that you find a proper converter for that. Still there are some freely available media player which are capable of providing support for almost all types of audio file.
