    teracom GAN4.FT130-J-TE-R9B018-IN resetting it settings very frequently

    Hi Team

    I bought teracom ADSL2+ CPE wireless router (TDSL300W2) modem from BSNL
    it worked perfect for a day.Afte tht real issue started

    Very frequently INTERNET LED will go RED or always blinking. If i try to loginto server using 192.168.1.1 and input admin:admin (default for teracom). it will show error and will not login.

    HAve to hard reset it by pressing reset switch manually and have to configure the modem every 5 hrs to get my BB work

    Is there any solutions?

    I tried to upgrade firmware, but i cudnt find upgradation file form the teracom itself or from motive.bsnl.com

    Please help me

    What is the error message that you are getting? I think that you need to configure the settings in proper manner. Try to disable MAC filter first. You also need to allow the router to connect number of system as many as you would like to connect and also enable wifi and enter password as per your choice and then try again. If nothing is working for you then I think that your modem might be faulty.

    INTERNET LED is RED or blinking for long time. No error.

    And I am unable to log using default username/password

    I had to reset the modem and have config setttings to retain INTERNET working.

    And it is working for very few hrs only. then INTERNET LED will start malfunctioning

    I need firmware update (i guess) which will overcome this bug on modem

    Can you go to this website - http://www.motive.bsnl.co.in/ and download the "Customers using Teracom CPEs click here*" thing, it might be compatible with your Teracom modem, please proceed with care if it is not compatible.

    YEs I did. That link just write serial number,. and nothing else.

    The problem still exist. I have to reconfig my router every few hours.

    You just need to download the CPE firmware upgrade which is only 3mb file from the link given in the above post. If you have any doubts then there is an instruction given in the file to update your router, just read through it and see if that works.
