Surrender MTNL Modem once and for all

I am going to move out of state and therefore wont be using some services at my place. So, I am looking for a way to surrender the MTNL Modem that I was using at my home? Does anyone know how this can be done? I think that I also need to get the deposits for the modem that I have given them in advance. How soon all this procedures will be completed? Thanks

When I was in mumbai then I had to go to the nearest exchange and submit modem and the phone instrument. After that they will give you a receipt for the same and you will need to submit the receipt along with the receipt that you have got when you booked the modem. Note that you will have to submit an affidavit if you dont have the old receipt.

If you want to surrender the MTNL broadband connection, then you will have to visit the MTNL Centre. After that a person over there will give you a form for cancellation and the details of the person who want to take over the Modem and other such things. You will have to fill the form with a letter as well for cancellation of MTNL services by giving some reason. Now, you will have to take atleast 3 copies of both the letter with you and the cancellation form. After that visit MTNL office and give the devices and one copy of both form and letter to the Inventory Manager, he will sign and acknowledge all the letters and forms. After that go back to the person from whom you took the form and give them the signed form and letter from the Manager. They will do the remaining procedure.
