Which telecom providers offers free Roaming Plan

I am looking for a good roaming plan for my brother. He has to travel in different places every month and roaming charges are costly. Can anyone tell me which telecom provider offes a free roaming plan. Atleast there must be something cheaper so that we can easily move from place to place without worrying about high call rates. He is having a TATA Docomo connection rightnow. And if possible then anything in Docomo will be much more helpful to some extent.

TATA Docomo has a free roaming plan for prepaid users. Once you activate the plan you do not require to play any additional charges. For that you will have to pay Rs.46. This is a special roaming plan that gives you validity of 60 days. When you activate the plan your call rate on incoming calls will be reduced by 1.5 paisa per second. That can be cheaper to some extent. While the outgoing call rate will be 1.2 paisa per second. This is on local and STD between Docomo to Docomo while outside you have to pay Rs.1.5 paisa.

There is a plan by BSNL also. You can activate the plan through Plan Voucher of Rs.199. And the same is applicable on 3G also. The validity is higher here. There is a 180days validity and it is available for the prepaid subscriber around the globe. Along with the plan BSNL offers some additional benefit. You can get a free usage of 4500 seconds also. Which available separate on BSNL and outer networks. But the validity for this free seconds lies around 30 days only.

Vodafone also gives a roaming plan which is quiet similar to TATA Docomo. The charges to activate the plan is Rs.69. While the validity provided on it around a year. So once you activate it you have to recharge it back after 365days. That is quiet high validity period. On local the cost of call rate between vodafone is 1 paisa per second and 1.2 paisa for outer network. The call rate of incoming calls is 1.5 paisa or 70 paisa depending on the plan you are using. You can visit the official site for more detail.

Airtel has just provided a free incoming call scheme. It is limited to 5 states only. The voucher cost is Rs.21. When you activate this in your phone you can free incoming for 30 days in 5 states of India which are UP, Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand and Uttarkhand. The standard rate outside lies Rs.1.5 paisa. So this can be good for those who are living on the eastern side of India or have business on that part. While for other the call rate is simply standard. I do not thing that there is any other free roaming plan available.
