    How to optimize MTU size?

    I had recently purchased the BSNL broadband. It was working fine. One day I saw that some website is not opening. When I type such type query on Google then I got more solution but I haven’t solved the issue. Then I checked on forum then I saw that problem may be in your MTU values in modem. So can anyone give me suggestion so that I can solve this issue?

    Dude I searched on forums and then I got one solution for your query .here are the some steps from this you can solve your issue.
    1> Go to start and then select run.
    2> After that you just set your router on 1500 and start.
    3> Start the run.
    4> Just type command and then type ping bbc.co.uk -f -l 1492 and then enter.
    5> If you get the response of "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set" then I would suggest you that please lower the size in increment order such as (e.g. 1472, 1462, 1440, 1400).
    6> After that increase your packet size from this number until you will get largest size that doesn’t fragment.
    7> Add 28 to that number to get optimum MTU size.
    8> Just example if your packet size is 1462 and then 28 to become 1490 which is the best optimal size.
