How to use WLan in Bridge mode with AR800v v3.0 modem?

Earlier I had dlink glb802c modem which later on became useless, I mean that I was defected and nonfunctional due to thundering and lighting unstable of LAN Led. However now I bought a new AR800v v3.0 modem. Now the issue is that I somehow can make Wlan work in PPPoE mode but when I try to make it in bridge/dialer mode, it won’t. I somehow want to make it work in bridge mode, so please give me some possible solution.

This is very much simple, try out the following trick:
    • Login to modem
    • Go LHS menu
    • Select “Internet connection”
    • Select the VPI/VCI 0/35 entry
    • Click “Edit”
    • Select Mode

Now after you get into the landing page you will possible get an option to choose either the bridge mode or PPPoE, there you need to select the one which you prefer i.e. bridge.

Even I had the exact same issue; I was unable to get the wlan work in bridge mode. Even I have the same modem connected at my place, but from the time I bought this modem I was unable to make the changes for the mode. But now after trying out your steps I can easily switch from PPPOE mode to bridge mode.

Anyways now the thing is that my issues are not just limited till here. I have another issue. I just want to let you know that I am unable to connect or use the wifi connection on my mobile phone over PPPoE. Whenever I try to use the wifi connection on my phone it gives me an error message saying that “Server not found”. Anyone who can let me know how to get rid of this error message and get a successful connection with phone.

That’s quite simple, in order to connect the wifi to your machine or phone you need to on PPPoE. And also remember that for this you need have to connect using a dialer. You just have to simple switch on the modem and then establish the connection to internet.
    • Configure your modem in PPPoE mode
    • Enable DHCP in your modem
    • In the TCP/IP properties of the connection
    • Set “Obtain IP address automatically”

Yeah even I agree with the above solution. And if you still face the issue then:
    • Disable any encryption used for WiFi
    • Make sure that the MAC filter in “wireless “page of modem is switched OFF

If after doing so still the problem exist then:
    • Assign internal static IP to machines and the check
    • also if possible please let me know your modem - model and make

I guess I need have to follow your steps as the above solution has already worked for me. Anyways thanks for your kind help and suggestion.

Now the thing is that as I am in PPoE mode I need have to input any user name or password and when I check the utorrent it says that the port is not open. I am complete unaware about this thing, and I somehow want to port forward but don’t know how to do it.

Just want to ask you whether which version of utorrent you are using, and also want to ask you whether do you see any tick mark in green color at the bottom of the Utorrent app. Or else do you see any yellow or orange triangle over there. Try out the following thing:
    • In modem
    • Enable UPnP and check
    • In utorrent > options > Preference > connection
    • Enable UPnP and NAT – PMP

If there is any kind of orange yellow exclamation mark in utorrent then definitely I thing that your utorrent stable is out. Anyways just give it a try:

    • Log in to the modem
    • Browse through the pages
    • There will an option to check /uncheck UPnP
    • Enable UPnP by checking the UPnP
    • And also if possible just disable the firewall and antivirus and then again check it out.
