AN1020-21 + VOIP + Spectranet

Hi,

I am using a spectranet broadband. I want to use VOIP in the AN1020-21. How can I do it ?



I have following from spectranet.

A cat 5 cable to be connected directly to laptop.

Fixed IP. 192.168.52.X
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.52.X

DNS 1 - 203.x.x.x
DNS 2 - 203.x.x.y

When I open browser window, it asks me a username and password for spectrnet authentication.

Are you connected in PPPoE ( "always On") mode. Your user id/password entered is stored in wan page of modem. In Lan page enable DHCP and give a range say 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.6. Any lan port to connect to desktop and Internet working Ok ? This ensures your connection for VOIP service is OK.

Can you tell us what other router are you using with AN1020-21 and what is its model number? Have you connected any lan port to desktop and is the internet working fine? It will let you know that your connection for VOIP service is fine. It looks to me that you have to use the ID and Password and dial from pc using the software that is provided.

I have done the same configuration that was given by agarwalm11 but I am experiencing some issues with it. The VOIP light will glow but there is no dial tone in the phone that is plugged in. I am using the BSNL connection and the PPPoE configuration is properly set up in my computer. Can anyone tell me how do I check the FXS port for getting it to work fine? Thanks
