i am vicky, i have a visiontek 82gh 3g usb modem with bsnl 3g sim.on the visiontek software i click connect,below the tower indicator "edge" is displayed. is "edge" the symbol of 3g or 2g. if anybody knows answer please tell me.

No Edge is for GPRS. It is not 3G. If there is an 3G support on your modem then you can see an small indication of 3G over the signal bar. Edge is an technology for high speed data transfer over GSM. You can get around a speed of 384 kbps or more than that over the network which is much higher than regular network. Go in the settings and check for profile. Such modems have different settings for 3G.
i bought this bsnl 3g sim with visiontek... whenever i was connected to intrnet the sound is not coming... any one who knows what to do for this pls reply...
If you have Windows 7 as the operating system installed in your pc then follow the below steps to hear the sound:
- First of all go to---Control Panel
- After that select---Sound
- After that a small pop up window appears om the screen
- In that just "Disable"Following items
- Digital Audio(S/PDIF)
- Digital Audio(S/PDIF)
- Speakers(HSPAdatacard USb Audio Control)
