Help needed in configuring BSNL Nokia Siemens Residential Router 1600

I got BSNL wifi modem. I try to configure my Router 1600 to strengthen my wifi network and security by referring to net. Then when i try to connect to the wifi network it display an error message saying that setting saved and on this computer but the network do not match the requirement of network. It display error 676. Please help to solve this issue. The other computer is not responding.

Follow the following setting:
I] Open your web browser. Type http://192.168.1.1 .press Enter.
ii] Enter user name and password.
iii] Type user name and password as "admin"
iv] Nokia Siemens Router page will open.
v] click on "wireless".
vi] click on "security"
vii] Network Authentication = "Open"
viii] WEP Encryption =Enabled
ix] Encryption strength = 128 bit or 64 bit
x] current Network key = "1"

xi] Click SAVE and APPLY.
After saving the setting now try to connect the laptop and You will get connected.

If you are doing this setting under window 7. In win7 you will not be ask to enter the key. You just need to click on the wifi connection from the taskbar. Now select the properties. Now go to security tab and type the same setting as you have enter in the modem configuration setting. after performing this basic step you will be able to connect to the internet. Hope this help you.

i am having Intel core i7 laptop and recently I get BSNL Broadband connection and have Nokia Siemens Residential Router 1600. And while doing the configuration according to the instructions. I perform all the step correctly but it shows that my computer setting does not match to my modem setting. Can you provide some suggestion to sole this. I have windows vista installed in my laptop.

You can contact the BSNL customer care and they will come at your home and will fix the issue. they will do the setting for your modem within ten minutes. And they will not charge you for doing the setting. So just make call to BSNL and inform them about your problem and why you are wasting your time in doing manual setting. They are the technician person and they will make the correct setting. so that you do not have any issue in future.

I try the above given tip and wifi has got connected. But when I try to open any page Internet explorer cannot open it. Than I right click on wifi connection and it open another window and select properties. I enter the same setting in this page as I have entered for the modem config page and this solve my issue. Now I can connect to Internet successfully.
