BSNL Broadband double speed on 256kbps plan

Do you know that reliance and airtel had upgraded their Tariff plan in such a way that Airtel are providing double speed from 2010 and also reliance is upgrading their tariff. I heard that the BSNL Broadband had also upgraded their tariff but the speed remains same. Does any one is having any idea when the BSNL people are going to do this? Are they going to wake up soon?

I think BSNL has upgraded it and has double the speed. Now I am getting more than 50 + download speed. I am having BSNL Home UL750 256kbps plan. It look that BSNL has upgraded it speed to 512kbps. It is strange that BSNL upgrade their speed to double. Does any one else is experiencing the same thing? This is happening with me only or everyone is experiencing the same speed.

Today morning when I am doing surfing i am frequently getting disconnected. i repeatedly start my modem but this does not help. But when i start browing in the evening again I got slow connection and it is taking a lot of time even to open google,yahoo. But when I try to download some file it shows 60kbps download speed. I check it through speedtest.net it displayed my connection as 512kbps.

I am staying in bangalore and I did not notice any difference in download speed. i reboot the modem as well as PC and there is no change in the speed. i am having UL750 512kbps plan and the speed is same at my place. I think there are only some people noticing the difference. Does any one else in bangalore with the same plan is noticing the double speed offer? and how much download speed you are getting?

Even I have unlimited BSNL 256kbps plan and staying in Bangalore. But now when I check my speed it is 512 kbps. And what I think they had not double their speed but BSNL is also following the Airtel who announce recently that their minimum speed will be 512kbps. So that’s why only people who has 256kbps plan are experiencing the difference and who got 256 kbps speed are getting 512kbps.

Well I am having 256kbps BSNL Broadband connection but I do not see any changes in my speed. Even I check my speed on speedtest but over there it shows me 256kbps. Can any one tell me what I need to do so that I also get 512kbps speed? Does I need to make any changes in the setting? Please provide me the detailed information. Thank you in Advance.
