    TRAI to redefine Broadband

I do not know what the problem with the download speed is. I have seen lot of people complaining about this kind of issues. Also I have seen them discussing that the ISP offered them the download speed of the 236kbps and when it comes to the download in the practical sense then the download speed falls to 60-180kbps. I am also facing the similar situation. Is there no one who can take action against this kind of thing?

Well I know one who can take action against this type of things in India and it is TRAI. TRAI is the acronym for Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. It is the independent regulator established by the Government of India to regulate the telecommunications sector in India. They have the responsibility and they can make recommendations from the licensor, and they can also impose fees and other charges in respect of such services as per the regulations. I even think that TRAI should look into it and try to redefine the broadband.

I am also of the opinion and thanks for giving it the initiation. It is the time to TRAI to stop all this nonsense and put a stop to all the vendors of the Broad Band. I think they should find the way to continuously monitor the speed of Broad Band and then generate monthly invoices accordingly. I am also having the same problem. I have a 2Mbps connection but I get a speed of 200 to 400 kbps. I have seen this on the speedtest.net. When I complained I have seen that the speed boost to the speed to 2 mbps. It stays for 2 days and then it returns back to 200 kbps again.

Well I have great news for all of you that are looking for some actions to come from the side of the TRAI. They have asked the operators to amend their ads on the speeds that they are offering. In response to complaints of harassment of consumers who are offered broadband at speeds much slower than those provided by the government, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken a strong action. I hope that this can bring smile to all of you.
