BSNL broadband not working on DELL LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS 7

I have bought Intel core i7 processor laptop with windows 7 Home basic edition installed. I have BSNL broadband connection at my home and I am using it with my another laptop with windows XP and it is working fine. When i try to connect my intel laptop to BSNL Broadband modem i.e., Sterlite Sam100 then the LAN on Modem is not glowing. So i was not able to connect to net. Is there any solution to this issue? Thank you in Advance.

You just try to perform this think and this may resolve your issue. AS your BSNL Broadband is working fine on another Laptop.
A} Make sure that your LAN card drivers are installed properly
B} Have you tried Connecting to some other system with the same LAN port.
    C}Uninstall the LAN driver
D} Try reinstalling the updated version of LAN driver.
Hope after checking this might your laptop is getting connected to BSNL Broadband.

I read on Intel forum that if you are unable to connect to your BSNL Broadband connection and other system with older operating system are able to connect to Broadband. Then the chances are you need to upgrade the firmware on your wireless router. So try to download the latest version of Firmware and install it. After installing try to connect with windows 7 OS. Hope this time it will get connected.

Just follow the instruction to solve your problem.
i]Go to start menu and select Run and type cmd. Press enter. This will open command prompt window.
    ii]type ipconfig/all and copy/paste data here.
iii]Go to start menu/Network lan or wLAN /properties/Network setting
iv]On top box of network setting page Click configure(Ethernet)
    v]Make Enabled
    vi]Try advanced fault Finding.
I try this with Dell Inspiron 8000 with windows 7 installed.

As you are unable to connect when trying to connect via windows 7 operating system installed. I will suggest you to try it. Just go to TCP/IP properties and try by unchecking ipv6 box and than by checking ipv6. I think after unchecking you may be able to connect your BSNL broadband.

Even I have same problem with my DELL Studio. When I try to connect my wireless network it get connected but it is not getting connected with my BSNL Broadband connection. The same connection is working with other system and even it work with my another laptop with windows xp installed.
Well somehow I was able to solve the problem. Just follow this:
    1. Go to wireless Network connection properties
    2. Select IPv4
    3. Go to properties and filled the following data appropriately.
    For IP address: 192.168.1.7
    For Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
    For Default gateway:192.168.1.1
    For Preferred DNS server:218.248.241.5
    4.Click OK
