Broadband Plan and Connection for Web Server

Hello everyone

I am having a web server at my work place and also my website is using or running on this this web server.

I am using the MTNL DSL_Unlimited_599 plan which give me a download speed of about 65 to 75 kbps and an upload speed of 25 to 35 kbps.

As far as i know i think this should be somewhat higher since i am operating a server on it. please suggest a Broadband Plan and Connection for Web Server

If you are hosting a website then i think that you should at least have a speed of about 4 MBPS so i would suggest you to go for the MTNL's newly launched 4 MBPS braodband. details are mentioned below:

DSL_Unlimited_9999 which gives you 4Mbps speed and Unlimited download in reasonable Rs. 9999/-

Web hosting does not compulsorily needs a particular speed broadband plan. For this you just need a dedicated server which will help you to start a website and then host it your self. You can also offers hosting solutions on it. you does not need any kind of broad band plan on it in order to host a website.

Basically i think that you do not have to buy a server or a plan with higher bandwidth. You can host your websites using one of the data centers via any of the website hosting companies. As far as i know it is quiet expensive to run your own webserver from your own premises. Bandwidth is also quiet expensive in india.

Choose one of the plan from the below given list i think that the last two plan will better meet your requirements if you are planning to host websites.

BSNL is good as it boosted the current down-link in all the plans as if your motto is for web server than i suppose you might need and 3300 UL plan.
