Download speed of 8 mbps/768 kbps

I am using 8 mbps internet connection on that i am getting average 768 kbps speed while downloading and uploading data. As per my info i should get more thne 1 mbps download speed while downloading the data on 8 mbps connection what do say friends ?

Yes you are right on 8 mbps connection you should get at least 1 Mbps download speed while downloading data. I am using 2 mbps connection on that i am getting 250 kbps connection. Just check with your ISP.

Normally the download Speed is Divided the 8 , so it is Obvious for you to get Speed Around 900-1000 kbps ,and this Speed Can also Decrease the Depending the network Traffic , in this Case You can use a Good download manager or try contacting your Isp

Which Internet service you are using. In my office we are using TATA indicom pro service 10 mbps plan on that i am getting 2 mbps or some time more that download speed. you are getting only 768 kbps speed on 8 mbps speed.
