Re: Want the same Number after changing location

Till the time India implements number portability, you can not retain the same number on relocation to a new area (or change of service provider).

Your mobile number can be broken into 3 parts, as in 9X-ABC-XXXXX (e.g. 93-333-33333 or 98-222-22222 or 94-444-44444). The first 2 digits form the access code (92 - tata, 93 - reliance, 94 - BSNL, 98 & 99 - other GSM operators), next three digits are known as MSC (Mobile Switching Centre code and depend on the service area/service provider), and the last 5 digits form the subscriber number. If you change your location, MSC is bound to change, though you could retain the subscriber number subject to availability and the service provider providing you with the facility to do so.

While you're shifting circles the 5 digits will change i.e. 93xxx,,, and plus point is that you can choose the last 5 No also .
