Airtel Broadband speed

Hi

I am using Airtel broadband at my home. i am in 256 kbps plan in that i am getting 15 to 20 kbps downloading speed in day time. and in night i get 25 to 30 kbps speed. Is this right speed i am getting or less speed ? How much speed is your getting on 256 kbps plan.

This is normal speed your getting. I am using Hathway connection on 256 kbps plan in that I m getting 25 to 30 kbps speed sometimes more than 30 kbps also.

That is about the same speed I am getting from Airtel on 256KB.. actually this is a minsnomer they claim that we will get download speed upto 70kbps but it never comes to that..

256 should give you around 30kbps ..
i'm on a 1mbps connection and i get speeds of 150kBps (thats the max , around 120-130 if there arent enough seeds on the torrent )

is it 128 and night double , if not , call the customer care and ask them about it .
i had a 256 connection last year too , always got more than 25 with that

OK Karan,
I already have doubts on Airtel that I am not getting the proper download speed for 256. I am not aware if my plan is something like getting double in night. But I know I had opted for 256 kbps plan and so this thing cannot be. Even if it is like that, it should have been 256 kbps in day and 512 kbps in night, instead of 128 in day and 256 in night.

As per your advice, i'll get back to Airtel and confirm from them about my plan, and ask them about the download speed problem. Thanks for the reply
