    passport not accessible on other pc

    Hi there...
    I have western digital my passport 500 gb. I use it on my apple laptop. I connected it to another pc with windows 8, but it didnt showed up there. What is the reason and how to solve this problem??

    It could be possible that the usb controller inside the enclosure might have failed. You can try to remove the hard drive from the enclousre and connect it to USB adapter and then put it into another usb enclosure with a power adapter.

    Hi vikrant rajput,
    Based on your post, may I know what is the file format you are using on the drive?
    If it's HFS+ Windows will not support it, so you need to format it in FAT32 or exFAT in order to use it for both the OS.
    Plug the hard drive into your Windows PC. Open the Start menu and search for Disk Management. Select the search result and the Disk Management utility will launch. In the left sidebar, you should see your hard drive and its partitions. Right-click the Windows partition and select Format. In the Format dialog box, under File System, select FAT32. Click OK and complete the format process.

    Note: make sure you have all the back up before making any changes to the drive.
