HP pen drive always ask to format when plugging it in computer

Dear friends
Recently I had plugged in my 8GB HP pen drive unknowing in a infected PC. Since then whenever I insert it in other computers or my own computer, it always asks for a format to be done. I formatted it in the command prompt several times. Sometimes it works but most of the time it asks for a format and the pen drive is inaccessible. I have scanned it with anti-malewares and antiviruses but the problem remains the same. I think the firmware is corrupted. How do I revive my pen drive to a working condition? Please help.

Can you try to right click on your Pen Drive and then go to Properties > Hardware > and select your device and then go to Properties and choose the better performance option. After that click to format it in NTFS mode. If in this formatting option your pen drive still acts like the same then I am sorry to tell you that your pen drive is damaged.
