What does C920 USB 3.0 ready means?

I am using a Logitech C920 webcam with my Window 8 desktop. I have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. Recently while browsing logitech's website i came to know that there is something called "C920 USB 3.0 Ready". As i have 3.0 ports i tried connecting the webcam in the same, used for few hours but dint noticed any difference in the performance or anything.

Can anyone please tell me what exactly is meant by "C920 USB 3.0 Ready"? How does it makes difference from the normal one? Thanks for helps.

Well, there is nothing interesting and no difference. By saying "C920 USB 3.0 Ready" only means that the webcam is fully compatible with USB 3.0 ports and nothing else.

I appreciate your reply eRMA but I don’t think Logitech meant only that much by adding “USB 3.0 Ready” in their existing webcam name. There must be something else because we all know that every USB 2.0 device works with USB 3.0. To be frank I have never seen and flash drive, portable hdd, or any USB drive that wont work in USB 3.0 port. There must be something else in this. Hope someone else can describe the same properly.

Of course we know all USB 2.0 devices work with USB 3.0 but you might be knowing that there use to be huge difference in transfer rates and all. Similarly, the webcam makes difference on USB 2.0 and 3.0. For example, you will get better video quality compared to what you get on USB 2.0, like 1920 x 1080 video @60fps.

If you are not getting this difference then make sure that you have proper drivers installed for the webcam and for the USB 3.0 ports.
