Error "Launcher Main.exe has stopped working" with Logitech C920 webcam

This is the first ever Logitech WebCam i bought and it is disappointing me with the said error message in the subject line. I am having a Windows 7 Ultimate PC, bought and installed logitech C920 camera successfully, installed all its required driver, downloaded and installed Logitech Webcam software. So far everything fine.

But when i try to record any video using the software, it stucks with an error message saying "Launcher Main.exe has stopped working." Tried recording several times but the same problem.

Any idea what is the problem and how can we fix the same?

I am using Logitech Webcams since years but have never faced any such problem, so no personal experience with that error. Anyways, as far as similar errors are concerned, usually they get fixed by re-installing. So what i can suggest you is simply uninstall the LWS (Logitech Webcam Software), delete its folder from the installation directory, restart the system and re-install the software. Hopefully it should work fine now.

Hello Vrijesh, first of all if you have QuickTime player installed on your computer, uninstall the same. After doing it just try the following steps to get rid of that error message:
    • Go to Start > RUN > type ‘msconfig’ without quotes > Enter
    • From the General Tab check mark “Selective Startup” and uncheck “Load Startup Items”.
    • Now go to Services Tab and at the left bottom check mark “Hide all Microsoft services”.
    • Click Disable All > Apply > OK.

Now restart the computer, launch Logitech Webcam Software and try recording videos. Let me know if still you getting that error message.

Anyone facing any kind of problems with Webcam software can follow these simple steps to fix the issue.
    • Launch the software and click on ‘Properties’ .
    • Click on Gallery tab and change the locations for photos and videos.
    • Simply click on the Browse button and set some other folder to save clicked or recorded videos and pictures.
    • Do the same for the Photos folder and the Motion Detection folder.

That’s it. Save the settings and to make it affect better restart the LWS.
