Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 wont let computer to boot

I have recently bought a new Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 and I am trying to get it to work on my HP computer. Whenever I try to plug in the webcam to my computer, then it will not let the computer to start at all. The computer will always freeze to the welcome screen. I have tried plugging it in other computer with identical hardware configuration and am getting the same problem as well with the webcam? So I assume that it is definitely the webcam problem, isnt it? Any ideas

Can you try to perform a clean startup of your computer without connecting the webcam and after performing it, try to reconnect the webcam:

    • First, click Start button and then type msconfig in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    • In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.
    • Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
    • Note The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.
    • Click the Services tab.
    • Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
    • Click Disable All, and then click OK.
    • When you are prompted, click Restart.

After performing the above step, try to reconnect the webcam and see if that works.

Even I am facing the same problem. I have just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit preinstalled on it. I dont have too many software installed as well on my pc. If I unplug the Logitech C920 webcam then my computer is booting without any issues. I am also running the updated Logitech Software for the webcam on my pc. I followed the above method but it didnt work for me, can anyone tell me some other solution. Thanks.

Well, have you tried to connect the webcam in the other usb port? Also, try to upgrade the motherboard bios which may solve this issue. What method do you use at the boot up sequence? Can you try to change the hard drive as the first boot device in the Bios and see if the computer boots after splash screen?
