DVD Burner no longer burns DVD Dual Layers

I am new here.. and I've came here because I am tired and I can find no answer to my problem.. It is strange too and I have no clue what is the problem..

My DVD Burner is HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N (Hitachi - LG). It is Dual Layer DVD Burner.. I have burned around 8 DL before..

The Problem is it no longer burns or just ruin the disc. I am using Nero 9 / ImgBurn. I insert the blank disc. It reads it.. I add the data to burn to the app...Fills the cache.. nothing. I tried to burn at 2X, 2.4X and 4X.. All of them failed. I just hear a clicking noise of the disc spinning.. but with no progress. and it keeps like that till all ImgBurn Write retires fail, with a message "Reason:Write Error".. The last time I tried it seems like it started but not.. and I had to stop the burning and the disc is rendered unreadable after that.

It can burn CDs and Single Layer DVDs, just not the Dual Layer's

I have tried RICOH DVD+DL and Verbatim DVD-DL.. Both failed..

So my trials:

>Burning Speeds: 2X, 2.4X, 4X.. Fail
>>Good brand Blank DVD: Verbatim ... Fail
>>>Updated Firmware : From RT04 to RR07 .. Afraid to ruin another DL..

So what is the problem exactly ? I have no clue honestly. If it can burn single layer DVDs why not DLs ?? I am using W7 Ultimate x64 if it matters...

There can be two thing which are causing issue. First the software which might not have proper support to burn a dual layer disc. Second the disc which are using or the laser of DVD burner is not capable of performing the action. But anyhow you had tested two drives here and both failed. So the first thing you can do is use a different software like Toast Titanium is one of the best tool for this purpose.
