How to scan above 600dpi in MG5250?

I have a Canon Pixma MG5250. I wanted to scan something with more that 600dpi resolution.

I’m not able to do that.

Can anyone help me out? I use Windows 7.

It’s not a very complicated task.

Very easy. All you got to do is select ‘open scanner driver ’ in the options and select 1200dpi in the menu there.

That should be enough, I guess!

    I’ve done that long back.

    Doesn’t help!

Gives an a confusing and annoying error: “Unable to scan. Image size exceeds 10001 x 10001”

It’s complaining about the image/file size.

Try lowering the color and/or image size. Try to scan a small image.

Also check out, if it scans fine with high resolution in Black and White.

    Try this:

It can be done using the supplied s/w (it is a 4800x1200 dpi so I guess 1200 is the limit). Here’s how:

    - Into Solution Menu EX

    - Start Application MP Navigator Ex

    - Select Photos/documents (Platen)

    - Tick box which says "Use Scanner Driver"

    - Select "Open Scanner Driver"

    - Select the advanced mode tab
