WD Caviar Blue 500GB RMA

Few months ago I have purchased a WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD. Yesterday I have noticed that it got a few bad sectors (now reallocated) and due to this the HDD is constantly asking for CHKDSK during the very boot up process. Do you think that I should send it for RMA or wait till it fails completely? The SMART status seems ok.

WD will accept the replacement any time during warranty and you should not wait for the drive to fail completely. But the last RMA's that we have made in the company have lasted 1-2 months... during that time I have received any emails. What bothers me, especially that no answer to override warranty from WD. I've been waiting for 1 month, status of the mail is "escalated", but there seems not to bother.

As far as I know that a WD Black has 5 year warranty, making it easier than if it is still under warranty do an RMA and send it to send you a new one.
