So i my PS3's HDD just started acting out and does not want to boot when i start the system. I tried to use HDD Recovery to repair/regenerate the HDD, since you cannot "see" the files inside the HDD since the PS3 encrypts it, therefore eliminating the option of backing anything up/ transfering files from the HDD to another medium, etc. I am doing this process via an external enclosure instead of internally.
So now before scanning the HDD (Option 2) this message popped up:
So it says the MBR of this HDD is damaged, is there anyway to repair it?
Then i let the program scan for bad sectors and gives this result:
I've also tried to do HD TUNE
and it gave me 1 bad sector
The HDD recovery repair did not fix it, so i want to try to use Spinrite but when i do i get this error:
Can anyone help me?
