    Areca ARC-1880IX-12 Storage controller (RAID)

As the ARC-1880IX-12 is available which is having 4GB memory, I can hope that this will work well. I have not bought this yet. It would be good for other users who are searching for information about this, if you can post some useful information regarding this here. Thank you so much in advance.

The new adapters are no longer based on i / o processors from Intel, but run on a Marvell processor 88RC9580. This chip is clocked at 800MHz and features a built-6G SAS controller. The cards have a pci express 2.0 interface, with eight lanes and are standard with 512MB DDR2-533 memory. All versions are equipped with accessible via Ethernet management interface and support the usual RAID levels including RAID 3, 5, 6, 30, 50 and 60.

The ARC-1880 series consists of six models, including three models with eight ports in various configurations of internal and external connectors. Areca has the eight-port models already in production and expects to begin delivery of variants with twelve, sixteen and 24 ports. These models have a format with full height and have a DIMM slot, which included the standard memory module that can be replaced by a copy of up to 4GB.
