Have you tried using the PC-3000 for Windows UDMA tool that deals with drive restoration and its two critical steps: diagnosis and drive repair. You can check out what all hard drives does it support by reading from this pdf file.
My drive does not appear in the list and I have not pc-3000. Do you have another solution?
Where can I find a list of commands? the only way, for now, to have access to the disk it is through an RS232 cable in terminal mode.
Checkout some Seagate Terminal Commands by going to this post, which list most of the commands that can be useful for you.
thank you Einstein 007.
when I write "Q" in the terminal C level, I will list the command accepted. But the command "Gx, y Read / Write critical component vendor Sector x = y = Sector Which vendor if not specified: read, specified: write B" does not exist! how to replace it to read the vendor track?
What sector, look on what head this track? see my first post.
