Physical shredder to wipe out HDD

In my office there are bunch of HDD which are not needed. Some of them contain junk data and some may contain critical information. So we don’t know about what hard drive and where it reside. We also don’t want resell them since anyone can retrieve those information using useful apps. So we finally decided to physically destroy the HDD so that permanently wipe out the data and there will not be any risk for data recovery. But we don’t know which physical shredder is the best for this situation. Any suggestions?

If there are lots of drives, then it should be better if you send them to Specialist Company to destroy physically. It won’t gonna cost you more. They will also give you certificate for each drive with serial number on it. So you can trust that there is no risk of data theft from those physically destroyed HDD.

As far as I know that there is only way to make the data will not be reconstructed from the HDD is to shred the drive into small pieces. There several physical HDD destroyers available on store which will crush the HDD completely. Then you need to properly dispose them.
