    1GB video card for Dell 745 PCI'e

Hi friends, recently I have decided to install ATI sapphire PCI’e 1GB video card in to the Dell 745. But however I am quite confused about the compatibility of this Video Card with the PCI’s of Dell 745, so if you guys have any ideas about this installation or any other suggestion then please does reply. Any suggestion will be thanks and appreciated.

The type of Video card compatibility and installation is also depends on what DD3, DDR2 etc. so you must be clear with what you are going to use DD3 or DDR2 for your Machine. Because may be you are having "Optiplex" 745 so get the best Videos card based on your case model.

The thing that I have seen for Dell 745 models is that there are four different models available and based on that model you have to make use of PCI’e Video Card. The four models are minitower, desktop, small form factor, and ultra form factor. I have minitower model, the thing that I have seen here in this model is that it accept a standard size PCIeX16 Video card.

Hi friends, I am using mini tower which has a 305w power supply. But however I have seen that the minimum requirement for this is 400w, so will it create problems to my PSU. If I install Video card, I am quite confused please help me out.

According to my suggestion and experience I have not seen any issue with 305w dell power supply; there even I have seen that the Radeon 6670 that works fine and also there might be chances that they are saying for 400W so that the people will not make use of really cheap power supplies and have issue with such cheap power supply. So there is nothing to worry about having issue with 305w power supply.
