I am just thinking to buy a new Computer having Windows Xp Service Pack 2 Operating System. I want to know that how many watts does a computer needs to work? Can anyone tell me what is the answer to my question? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

The watts depends upon the what are the system specifications of your computer. You haven't mentioned that which computer. But any computer would be working in between 100 to 800 watts. I hope this helps you……

This is hard to tell because you are not giving the complete system specifications about your computer. If possible than provide the full system specifications in order to give proper solution to your question. One thing you can do is just go and see what is the rating of that computer’s power supply. You will be able to know there how much watts your computer needs. As far as my knowledge is concerned a good system specification Intel Computer would require at around 400 Watts to perform work.

My Computer consists of the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor, ASUS motherboard with GeForce 8800GTS Graphic card. My computer requires almost 550 watts to work in a better performance.
