USB 3 dropping out when writing data

I recently purchased an external drive, when I connect to the usb 3 port, and tried to copy some files and discovered that it would randomly just disconnect and dropout… that is the drive would operate as if it got ejected, but t he power is still remains on. My external drive is a Vantec usb 3.0 case and a green 2tb drive. All of the products are brand new, so where does the problem lie………..???????????

There is an option available on renesas app, to disable power management and this might help to sort your problem.
    In the menu “All Programs’’
    • Renesas Electronics option
    • USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver and then
    • USB 3.0 Host Controller Utility
    • Select the option "Disable USB 3.0 power management functions."

I hope I have found the correct solution to your question……

The widely available Cheap Chinese cables are becoming a bigger and bigger problem everywhere.........a friend of mine took back a whole 100m roll of 2 core 15amp power cable and to use his said "it felt stiff and not quite right"...turned out to be copper washed steel core!....so it is my personal suggestion that you should not waste your time and money on these type of cables…

X58A-UD3R stands out any other system with its storage capabilities; this board has the capacity to support 10 SATA ports, an ATA port, and two combination USB 2.0/e-SATA ports. Tossed in with the USB 3.0 ports and the X58A have a capacity of handling up to 16 hard drives at one time with native interface speeds. That's before we count external enclosures connected via USB 2.0, FireWire, or through the use of add-on cards. Your problem must definitely be of the cable that you use to connect to the external hard drive…….
